There is no SNMPTN tertulis in 2013?

There is no SNMPTN tertulis in 2013?
Ministry of Education planned to help the students to search for universities by abolish SNMPTN tertulis from the recruitment of university student in 2013. They wanted to change SNMPTN tertulis with UN (national exam) scores after they check and think that the last national exam execution (in 2012) is clear enough from any fraudulency. In 2012, Ministry of Education had tighten the regulation of national exam execution in 2012, so they optimist that the number of fraudulency had been decreased (almost clear from fraudulency) and they can use the national exam scores to change SNMPTN tertulis.
In my opinion, Ministry of Education chose the wrong choice if they choose to abolish SNMPTN tertulis, because I think SNMPTN tertulis is fairer than the other way in the recruitment of university student like SNMPTN undangan or national exam. In the other words, there are much fraudulency in SNMPTN undangan or national exam even Ministry of Education have controlled and anticipated it. For examples in SNMPTN undangan there are many schools that manipulate the student score’s so the students have more chance to accepted in that universities. Moreover, this manipulation has become a school tradition in several schools. Besides SNMPTN undangan, national exam also offers the opportunities to do some fraudulence. Almost every student knows that ‘the national exam solutions will appear before the national exams appear’, so I think there are many students that trust and use that to do their national exam. All of my statements are my own experience when I was a senior high school student. Furthermore, I have seen much fraudulency with my own eyes, and I think my generation is the victim of the unwise decision that chosen by the Ministry of Education.

  1. I agree with Kenny's statements saying that national exam scores are not credible enough to be the only parameter that decides the acceptance of students into a state university. The Ministry of Education needs to make an enrolment system that selects only the best students and make sure that only students that really deserve to go to college that gets accepted. However, with the SNMPTN Tulis system left behind, we can predict that next year the enrolment of high school students in state schools will be very high because their students have always been favorited by universities, and parents will no longer want their kids to go to private schools because it will be very hard for them to go to state universities from there.
